White Balance Click is the latest formula from the long-term Medik8 anti-pigmentation research program. Medik8 researchers have scoured the literature and identified 7 key ‘routes’ to whitening and the results of this research have been presented at The Royal College of Physicians in London. PP Pigmentation is the general scientific term for dark spots, age spots, freckles, blotchiness, sun damage, uneven skin tone and melasma. Applied regularly, this unique brightening serum has been shown to improve the appearance of overall skin tone with an array of several proven ingredients in a very carefully researched formula.

Kojic acid, which is a key ingredient in the formula, is inherently unstable when dissolved in water. Therefore Medik8 scientists use the innovative “click” packaging system to keep the kojic acid in powder form until its ready-to-use, by storing it in a special chamber inside the product lid. After purchase, the user simply clicks the lids to release the powder and activate the product by shaking. In addition, the formula contains a patent-pending stabilising complex (developed by Medik8 scientists) to keep the dissolved kojic acid stable for 30 days, even after the click. With kojic acid now limited to 1% in cosmetics, this clever formula means maximum ‘bang-for-your-buck’. Hydroquinone-free formula.

Kojic Acid – skin brightening agent used at the maximum permitted percentage, it balances skin tone and fades dark spots and freckles caused by sun exposure and ageing. Alpha-Arbutin – promotes lightening and an even skin tone on all skin types. Niacinamide – Vitamin B3 improves skin moisturisation, acts as an antioxidant, has anti-inflammatory and skin brightening properties. Sepiwhite – intensive lightening agent, effective on pigmented area but also on overall skin tone. L-Lactic Acid – whitening agent that also boosts the exfoliation process. Linoleic Acid – helps increase epidermal cell turnover, therefore improving melanin dispersion. L-Leucine – inhibits the transport of L-Tyrosine and L-phenylalanine into melanocytes, therefore nurturing it with inhibitive precursor for melanin formation. N-Acetyl Glucosamine – skin whitening agent that works in synergy with Niacinamide.

Application Instructions:

Before the first application, press down firmly on the bottle lid to click and shake for 30 seconds to blend the Kojic acid with the serum. Dispose of the empty lid and replace with the dropper for application. After cleansing in the morning and/or evening, apply 3 drops of White Balance Click directly to skin. Blend evenly across face (avoiding the eyes), neck and d?colletage. Leave to absorb before applying your regular Medik8 hydrator.
